The Lions International Stamp Club (LISC), Chapter 12 (Singapore) is currently undertaking a social enterprise project with the Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN).
The project that LISC Chapter 12 is involved in is the recycling of postage stamps for sale. Used envelopes (with stamps) are collected and the stamps cut out, removed and sorted out by the clients. These are then sold to stamps traders. Income from the sale will be shared with the clients as allowances. The cut envelopes can also be sold for recycling, or used for other recycling projects.
