LCS Lotus' Service Project

The SYCO, under the management of SCO, is a group of highly talented young musicians between the ages of 13 to 25 years old. It was formed with the vision to nurture young musical talents and groom them to be the future pillars of Singapore’s high quality professional music education and training as well as opportunities to interact and play in an orchestra set-up.

This SYCO chamber ensemble recital is part of SYCO’s annual concert programme, which provides a platform for these young musicians to enhance their performing skills, display their musicianship and build their stage presence and confidence.

LCS Lotus Mooncake Charity Sales
The Charity Sales of Mooncake is LCS lotus' yearly fund-raising project since their club charter in 2004.

The mooncakes are homemade by the club members with love and hardship. The filling is of the top quality white lotus paste imported from Hong Kong. It is a good choice to have their mooncakes as gifts to your love ones and friends.

LCS New Central is organizing Tupperware Sales in Aid of the Lions Home for the Elders. 50% of the sales proceed will be donated to the Home.

LHE / LBSA Joint Flag Day (Updated!)
JOINT FLAG DAY OF LIONS HOME AND LIONS BEFRIENDERS ON 30 AUGUST 2008
In conjunction with our momentous celebration of the District’s “50th Years of Community Service”, which is a significant milestone for all Lions In Singapore, Lions Home for the Elders and Lions Befrienders Association (Singapore) will have a Joint Flag Day on Saturday, 30 August 2008.

The Joint Flag Day Committee would like to appeal to all Lions to help and support this event by :

• Participating in the street collection, setting up and operating the various collection centres or on Saturday, 30 August 08. On this day, there will be two shifts for volunteers, ie.
  - Shift No 1 ( 9am to 2pm)
  - Shift No 2 ( 1pm to 6pm )

• Soliciting donation via pledge cards or making direct appeals to corporations from 30 July 2008 to 29 August 2008

• Helping in the cash reconciliation from 2 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, 30 August 2008.

For better administration, collection centres will be assigned by the Flag Day Committee member, Lion Linda Tan (Mobile 90080988) and Lion Simon Ng (Mobile 91099833).. Please reply by 30 July 2008 to facilitate necessary preparation and arrangement. You can view the list of collection centers here.

Please note that participation in the Joint Flag Day 2008 will be considered as one of the qualifying criteria by the District.
